The only time I ever talked to Stew personally was at the 2006 Reunion in Farnborough, where we talked about our commen hobby and profession - computers. Stew mentioned his interest in assisting with our web-site, once he had won his battle against cancer. Unfortunaterly, that was not to be. However, he continued to send me jokes at regular intervals for a couple of years and then we lost contact with him. R.I.P Stew! Stewart arrived in a silver long wheel based Land Rover, a huge wreath of the Welsh Dragon in national colours and the Branch Standard led the procession into St Barbara's Church. His coffin was draped with the RAOC Flag. A lovely service and Eulogy was conducted by Padre Gary. Many of Stewart's family and friends were there as would be expected. I spotted two Generals at the grave side and noticed a Welsh Flag being placed into the grave along with the many roses. A Bugler sounded the Last Post and he was laid to rest. He always said he would leave us wearing his full uniform which he kept so if you're met at the Pearly Gates by the pride of Wales make sure you know the latest Rugby scores and are carrying an RAOC badge.
