He saw service in India, Palestine, Egypt, West Africa (twice), France and Germany. His medals comprise the MBE, GS (India & Palestine), 39/45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 39/45, Meritorious Service Medal and LS & GC.
