When Fred left the army he came back to Wales and started his own business, Industrial Cleaning.He trained Ebbw Vale Town football team , he then trained Crickhowell Nomads Football Club and won every cup going.

Belated condolences to Ann, as I have only just discovered this web-site. I well remember both, Fred and Ann from my time at 12 OFP in Osnabruck. I played football with Fred. May he rest in peace.

Fred Preece was an instructor when I was in the Apprentice College in 1972/73 and helped me to pass my RPC 3 Drill course in my final term, by motivating me to do well, despite how difficult our squad was to not only pass, but reach the standard to automatically gain RPC2! (The rest of the squad failed!)
