Bill Chamberlain writes on 23/01/2013: Served with Fred in Aden 1964 and we played football together in the Ord Depot side that won the League & Cup. Some feat as we had to beat some of the major units on the way to winning the Cup. We did not always see eye to eye as he was a strong willed character - but he was someone you could always count on. Surprised to learn of his passing at such a young age. Bill Chamberlain Any details, memories or photographs that you may have would be most welcome. John Ball writes on 12/10/2010: I was saddened to learn of the demise of Taff (Fred) Preece. I served with Fred in Aden and he worked under me in the QM Stores. He was my best mate in Aden and we went a bit wild on the booze until Ann came out and they moved into a WD hiring in Maala. He was a hard man and loved his boxing and most sports. I will always remember Fred as a hard man who was as soft as putty as far as Ann was concerned. Any details, memories or photographs that you may have would be most welcome. RAOC.gif
