Obituary for Bushnall, Anthony H.

Bushnall_AH.jpg - 24180940 Anthony Hugh "Tony" BUSHNALL *2 July 1954 - †1 January 2011 RAOC Member of the Permanent Staff at the Apprentice College 1988-89 Passed away at his Hospice, in Telford Shropshire I was very saddened to see that Tony Bushnall has been taken from us at such an early age. Tony was a young sergeant and then staff sergeant when I had the honour to command 81 and then 90 Ordnance Company in 1983-84. It was a very difficult time but I was blessed with a superb team right across the rank structure. In fact no OC could have had a better company. Tony was one the stars, I knew that he would get to top and was so pleased that he did. Before my time, but I learnt that his performance and leadership in the Falklands was superb and I don't think was recognised. We had a lot of fun as he had a mischievous and infectious sense of humour which cheered everyone when the things got tough. There is many a story that I could tell! A superb soldier, leader, a kindly gentleman and great footballer. My sincere condolences to Debbie and his family.
