Gaffney_R.jpg -   23240512 Ronald GAFFNEY *4 January 1940  - †14 May 2013   REME Boy Soldier in Rowcroft House: December 1956 - December 1957  Left the Army 24.03.1964 with Rank of L/Cpl   Passed away at his home in Ellesmere Port    Ron was a member of the Ex-Boys Association    Ron was one of those guys you immediately took to.  We both were sent to Barton Stacey to be trained as clerks,a trade we refused.we both went to Norton Manor 10 Trg Bn. and passed out as VM's.  Last served together in1958,we met up again in 2008 and the conversation picked up as if he'd just come back of a 48.   A great pal who I'll sorely miss.
