Titch came to me in the Hebrides as a newly promoted Sgt and we immediately got on well. He had a devilish sense of humour and was quite content to wind me up every day, especially when we were playing snooker in the Mess. He was a good operator in the PC&A, making sure that all his staff's work was done to the highest standard and he took part in the Stores Section's social life with gusto. We had many a good night in the Mess with his wife Kath and my wife Liz. I was very shocked to hear of his passing at such an age. Our condolences go to his family and friends.
