O’SHAUGHNESSY *19 December 1942  - †23 September 2013 Gordon House Junior Leader July 1958 – December 1960  J/Sgt as Junior Leader, who retired with the rank of Major in October 1991   Passed away at his home in Diss, following a long battle with Prostate Cancer     The photo is an excerpt taken from the RE-2012 Album  (RE21208247) of our photo-gallery  Photo taken at the reunion in Coventry, August 2012  Tony was a member of the Ex-Boys Association    A close friend at the Junior Leaders and again in recent years, Tony attended all our Reunions and in particular the first of the Gordon House members in 2006 at Birmingham  It was well known amongst his close friends the battle he was having with prostate cancer as well as a heart condition which made the fight even more demanding, on both his wife Georgie as well as himself.  Throughout his illness Tony remained positive with his updates.   He will be sadly missed by all who came into contact with him as he was a genial, kind and engaging individual.. He was a fantastic person.  Our paths didn’t cross again until he was commissioned when we moved in the same circles. I met him at numerous reunions particularly in the East Anglia Association Branch when we held our meetings and dinners in Scole just outside Diss where he lived. It was twenty years later that we met again at a hockey match in RAF Cosford. Larger than life with that instantly recognizable grin.    He clearly loved his family, and showed much courage and fortitude in the way he fought his illness. Future reunions will not be quite be the same without him.   A lovely man. I am so glad that our paths crossed. I offer my condolences to his family in their great loss."
