BR002p1.jpg - S/SGT Vernon I ROSE  * 28 March 1944 - † 7 November 1974  Aged 30, RAOC, killed by an IRA landmine left near an electricity substation just outside Stewartstown, Tyrone. He along with other soldiers had gone along to the substation following an explosion there the previous night. Bill Chamberlain wrote: I understand that Vernon I Rose was a twin, and both he and his brother served in the JL's during the period 1959-62.
