CAPTAIN T. A. GLEN writes: - Ken Bradshaw died as the result of a traffic accident on Christmas Eve 1974. His tragic death cast a gloomy shadow over the Garrison. Ken enlisted in the Army in 1954 and served in the UK from that time until 1967. After a 2-year tour in FARELF he returned to UK to serve with the Parachute Regiment. He had only recently arrived at the Ordnance Depot Antwerp form 5 Airportable OFP, where he was Company Sergeant Major. An excellent shot and footballer, he brought his enthusiasm and personality to his work and was held in high regard by everyone in the Garrison. To his widow Kath, and his three children, we extend our deepest sympathy.
Ken was pemanent staff sgt. of body house in 1957. I was the boy Sgt. after leaving the boys in 1958 I met ken inBelgium while serving in Ord Depot Antwerp. He was RQMS. I was in the UK at the time of his accident. It was quit a shock on my return to learn of his death. Ken is buried in the military cemetry in Rhinedahlen. I have visited his grave in his memory. He was a gentleman and will be sadly missed.
