PD002p1.jpg - Norman Dorning * 17th July 1933 - † 8th August 2005 Norman Dorning was the longest service RSM at the college from Dec 1970 - Aug 1976, he took over from Monty Woods Memory submitted by Steve Hayden: I am so glad and honoured to have had the oppertunity to meet Mr. Dorning (sir). After 30 years some 34 years or so ago he was an insperation to me in the Corps of Drums and in his warmth and generous nature to us young boys at the RAOC App Col. He was strong and gentle and when your only 15 and away from home he was a great surragate dad  Memory submitted by Jack Frost in March 2013: Norman was a great man , a good RSM , a good friend , when not in hearing of others he was quietly spoken witty and offered all sorts of advice to a young Cpl ... sadly missed  Memory submitted Sally-Ann Robbins ( nee Dorning), in June 2014: To my Dad...  a special person who was loved so much. Missed enormously by many... Blackdown holds so many memories for me.
