I am so glad and honoured to have had the oppertunity to meet Mr. Dorning (sir). After 30 years some 34 years or so ago he was an insperation to me in the Corps of Drums and in his warmth and generous nature to us young boys at the RAOC App Col. He was strong and gentle and when your only 15 and away from home he was a great surragate dad

Norman was a great man , a good RSM , a good friend , when not in hearing of others he was quietly spoken witty and offered all sorts of advice to a young Cpl ... sadly missed
