Staff at the Apprentice College: 1979-82  SSgt/WO2(CSM), Trg Wing,  HQ Coy, RAOC Apprentices College  During the 4 terms Winter 79 / Winter 80 he was Skill at Arms Senior NCO - S/Sgt  From January 81 to end of Summer Term 82 he was Asst College Trg Officer - WO2(CSM)    Retired from the Army in 1987  Passed away suddenly at his home in Yateley, aged 64    I met mike in training in 1966 we were both in the same Platoon ... a few months after passing out together we were posted to Junior Leaders Bn … 1967 Banzi worked in the g/room under Drummy William's. We spent the next 3 years in the same billet along with Danny Daniels, Paddy McConnell, we all used to go to the Queen Elizabeth building at Heathrow most nights for coffee and a Danish. Banzi was a pocket dynamo he would have a go at anything or anyone. He got his nick name from looking like a Japanese trooper in full assault, from the front ... a once in a life time guy ... sadly missed.
