I met Taffy in 67 at the JLDRS when he ran the education wing.He got me to take my education ACE-1 and then got the CSM Geordie Luke to get me on a few RD/MTI courses and got me promoted to Lcpl, and Cpl at the ripe old age of 19. We became firm friends until i was posted out in 71 .. I met Taffy again in various units in Germany and the UK ... he never changed ....always a good laugh and yap with him. I know he was with the UN in Cyprus for a while prior to posting to JLdrs ... and later in the mid 70s at 16 BN Bicester . Taff was a bloody good man who never lost his rag or took offense , one of the nicest guys I ever served with ... and i am deeply saddened at your loss and send you and and the family my deepest sympathy Jack Frost
